How to easily cancel Audible
Here is a guide on how to do it:
- Open a web browser
- Go to Audible.com
- Sign in to your account (in the top-right corner)
- Click the “Account Details” page
- Select “Membership Details”
- Click “Cancel Membership” (next to “Switch Membership”)
- Follow the on-screen instructions, click “Continue cancelling”
- Click “Finish cancelling”

Audible is an online audiobook and podcast service. It allows users to purchase and stream audiobooks and other forms of spoken word content. This service is available on most modern platforms including Fire OS, Android, iOS, macOS, Microsoft Windows, Windows Phone.
Audible has more than 200,000 audio programs from leading audiobook publishers, entertainers, broadcasters, magazine and newspaper publishers and business information providers.
This American audiobook and podcast service, owned by Amazon.com Inc., was founded in 1995. by Don Katz in Newark, New Jersey.
What membership plans does Audible have?
Audible has 2 monthly plans: Audible Plus ($7.95) and Audible Premium Plus ($14.95).
In Audible Plus you get unlimited access to thousands of select audiobooks and podcasts so you can listen as much as you like. You are also able to listen offline by saving titles to “your Library”.
With Audible Premium Plus, you get 1 credit a month to redeem for any audiobook on Audible and unlimited access to Audible Plus. The good thing is that titles added to “your Library” with credit are yours to keep forever.
As an Audible (Premium) Plus member, you have the first month free. Audible will then charge you every month on the date you subscribed. You can change your plan or cancel your subscription at any time.
Audible has no free plan but the Free Trial period is 30 days. When the free trial period ends, you will automatically be charged, unless you cancel prior to the end of the free trial period.
However, Audible content can be purchased with or without a membership. But, you will have to pay the full price and you’re not able to enjoy all the benefits. Keep in mind that individual titles without a membership cost up to 70% more.
How to cancel an Audible subscription?
If you want to cancel your Audible subscription, you can do so at any time.
Here are the steps you need to take:
- Open a web browser
- Go to Audible.com
- Sign in to your account (in the top-right corner)
- Click the “Account Details” page
- Select “Membership Details”
- Click “Cancel Membership” (next to “Switch Membership”)
- Follow the on-screen instructions, click “Continue cancelling”
- Click “Finish cancelling”

If you decide to cancel your Audible subscription, you will lose your credits and your other membership benefits. Even if you decide to cancel your membership, any titles you purchase are yours to keep forever.
You are able to rejoin Audible when on hold by clicking “Reactivate page” to take your account off of its hold. But, If you have remaining credits left when you cancel your membership, you would, unfortunately, lose those upon cancellation.
