How to easily cancel Dropbox

Here is a guide on how to do it:

  1. Open a web browser
  2. Sign in to dropbox.com
  3. Click your profile picture or initials (in the top-right corner)
  4. Go to “Settings”
  5. Select “Plan”
  6. Click “Cancel plan” (at the bottom of the page)
  7. Select a reason for canceling
  8. Click “Continue canceling”

With the Personal Basic plan you get the following benefits: it is free, 1 user, you get 2 GB of encrypted storage to help you store or share a few files for a quick project, available on 3 devices.

Personal Plus includes 1 user as well, but 2 TB of encrypted storage, as many devices as you need, you can save hard drive space with Dropbox Smart Sync, store and sync your passwords across devices with Dropbox Passwords.

Personal Family includes all Personal Plus benefits, but Individual Plus accounts for up to 6 family members and you can share photos and files easily with the centralised Family Room folder.

The Free Trial period for Dropbox lasts 30 days. After your free trial period, you automatically will be charged for a subscription on a monthly or annual basis unless you cancel.

How to cancel a Dropbox subscription?

If you want to cancel your Dropbox subscription, you can do so at any time.

Here are the steps you need to take:

  1. Open a web browser
  2. Sign in to dropbox.com
  3. Click your profile picture or initials (in the top-right corner)
  4. Go to “Settings”
  5. Select “Plan”
  6. Click “Cancel plan” (at the bottom of the page)
  7. Select a reason for canceling
  8. Click “Continue canceling”
